How to make your 2019 a Success
Updated: Jan 7, 2019
Another year, another 365 opportunities! With each day comes with a choice, a choice to build the life you want or to forfeit another day to the keeper.
Now some will seize the opportunity before them and begin to create a new, better life but others may get caught in the trap of procrastination, distraction and overthinking.
To combat this we collated our top 3 tips on creating a successful new year that lasts longer than the first week of January.
1. Focus It’s easy to get distracted, thrown off track or lose your way, but with laser sharp focus anything is possible. When you focus, you tell your brain to pay attention and switch on to what you want to tune into whilst drowning out anything else.
It’s almost like a trance and once you get going you become unstoppable.
2. Habits Whether it’s creating new ones or breaking old ones it is crucial to start becoming aware of the power of habits and integrating this in to your life. It takes 21 days to create a habit and only seconds to break one so it’s going to take a bit of hard work, persistence and commitment but once you’ve successfully integrated a new habit into your regular lifestyle it’ll almost run like clockwork and benefit you greatly.
Regardless of whether it’s around fitness or planning or reading, building habits can save you time and allow you to do those things you’ve always wanted to do but never quite got around to doing in one hit.
3. Commitment Never, never, never give up!
It’s as simple as that. The reason 95% of people never complete their New Years resolutions is because they let life get in the way, they formulate excuses and find better (easier) things to do with their time.
If you’ve made the decision to do it...do it. Hold yourself accountable, block it out in your diary, find a buddy, whatever you need to do to ensure you stick with it but don’t throw in the towel.
If you want to succeed in 2019 and create the life you want to, you know what to do. Now it’s just down to getting in and doing the hard work. Although there may be some short term pain it’s nearly always worth it in the long haul and your future self will thank you for going through with it.
Don’t let the you of tomorrow down. Make this year your best one yet!
